Our Summer 2010 Problems Without Passports course--Sustainable Tourism in Egypt--focused on a case study of new eco-tourism in the Dakhla Oasis. We trekked across the desert for a day and a half to get to the 12th century village of Al-Qasr and stayed at the eco-award-winning Desert Lodge.
